Best way to stay on top of email?

I keep my work email and my personal email separate. I only check my work email during business hours. If someone needs to reach me, they know the quickest way is to message my Facebook inbox or to send me a Tweet.

Top five applications/programs?

Hootsuite for managing both my personal and work twitter accounts, which keeps me on top of happenings in real-time as well as community connection tool

Facebook for the same reasons as above

Pinterest which I use as a bookmarking tool for content creation and inspiration

YouTube because sometimes you just need to see it demonstrated rather than read it!

Instagram, both for photos and video when you need to get something out there quickly. The multi-platform sharing makes it a great way to spread your messaging, as long as you monitor the networks you share your visual images on.

What is your best time-saving trick?

I’m a natural multi-tasker. If I don’t have several irons in the fire, I end up brainstorming with others on their projects. My friend Michele put it best when she said “busy people get stuff done”. Lists become a great time saver for me. Sometimes I will just Facebook message my friend Diane with all of our upcoming events we’ll be attending, just so I can quickly go back to that message for reference. I’m not big on calendars and such.

Favourite productivity tool?

As far as productivity tool a have used the Lift app in the past, but I really find the behind the scenes Facebook inbox is where I get a lot of things accomplished. I’m able to reach people quickly when an immediate response is required and connect people who need assistance with others I know that can help them.

One non-tech thing you can't live without?

That would be my little tiara. By fluke it became a personal branding tool, but it is a great conversation starter as well.

Structure of your typical day? How do you divide your time?

See question 5, but really I spend my 9 to 5 at Sign Depot, most evenings I’m attending events and the weekends I use as down-time.
